Armed forces
Every central government department, every local authority in mainland Great Britain, and more than 900 businesses and organisations of all sizes have now signed the Covenant. This means recognising the contribution of serving personnel, veterans, and their families, and ensuring they are treated fairly and not disadvantaged in accessing services and opportunities.
Foster Friendly Employer
We are proud to be accredited as a Fostering Friendly Employer by the national charity, The Fostering Network. This recognition reflects our commitment to supporting foster carers and those in the approval process. We offer flexible working arrangements and paid leave to accommodate fostering responsibilities.
Committed to equality
We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and support fair recruitment practices. As part of this commitment we offer an interview to all disabled people who apply for a job at the council and meet the minimum criteria.

Care Experienced Applicants
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is committed to supporting people who are care experienced (those who have previously been in care). As part of this commitment, we offer a guaranteed interview to care‑experienced applicants who meet the minimum essential criteria for the role.
Menopause Pledge
We are proud to have signed the Menopause Pledge, reinforcing our commitment to supporting employees experiencing menopause.
This initiative promotes awareness, understanding, and open conversations, fostering an inclusive workplace for all.
